Terms of Service

Effective 4 October 2026Version 2026-10-04

Educational use

MESOMIND is built for studying and exam preparation. Its answers are generated by AI models, which can make mistakes, so please check important information against your textbooks and guidelines.

MESOMIND is for learning only and must not be used to diagnose, treat or manage real patients.

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and MESOMIND (“MESOMIND”, “we”, “us”). They govern your use of the website at mesomind.online, the MESOMIND apps, and every feature, piece of content and service offered through them (together, the “Service”). Please read them carefully: they limit our liability to you (section 18), require you to indemnify us for misuse (section 19), and set out the law and courts that apply to any dispute (section 20).

011. Accepting these Terms

You accept these Terms when you tick the agreement box and select “Agree and continue”, and in any case by using the Service. If you do not accept them, you must not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information and forms part of these Terms.

You agree that your electronic acceptance is a valid signature, that it binds you just as a signature on paper would, and that our record of it — the version you accepted, your account and the time — may be used as evidence of your agreement.

022. Who may use MESOMIND

  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • If you are under 18, or under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must have read and agreed to these Terms on your behalf, and any payment must be made by them or with their permission.
  • You must not be barred from using the Service under any law that applies to you, and you must not have had an account closed by us for breaking these Terms.
  • MESOMIND is made for medical students and other healthcare learners. It is not intended for patients or members of the public looking for health advice.

By accepting these Terms, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

033. Your account

On the website you sign in with Google; the apps also offer Apple. We ask for your name and your stage of study, and we confirm your email address with a one-time code. You agree to give accurate information and to keep it up to date.

  • Your account is personal. One account belongs to one person. Do not share your sign-in, let anyone else use your account or your plan, or use anyone else’s.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping your Google (or other sign-in) account secure.
  • Tell us straight away at support@mesomind.online if you believe someone else has used your account.

044. What the Service includes

Depending on the version you use, your stage of study and your plan, the Service may include:

  • AI Tutor — an assistant that answers questions and explains topics; draws flowcharts and tables; finds reference pictures (ECG strips, X-ray, CT and MRI images) in open medical image libraries; searches the web and reads guideline pages; draws on published medical textbooks; reads the photos and documents you attach; and takes questions by voice dictation.
  • Videos — a catalogue of medical lecture videos hosted on YouTube and played through YouTube’s own player, with the option to generate study notes from a video.
  • Audio Notes — turning a lecture recording you upload into a transcript and organised study notes.
  • Question Bank — practice questions for revision, offered on the website to the stages shown in the Service.
  • In the MESOMIND app — additional study features such as lectures, flashcards, a personal document library and live study rooms.

Features, content, catalogues and limits change over time. We may add, change, limit or withdraw any part of the Service (see section 16).

055. Educational use

MESOMIND is designed for learning, revision and exam preparation. It complements your curriculum, your teachers and your institution’s guidance. Its content is intended for study only and must not be used to diagnose, treat or manage real patients.

066. AI-generated answers

AI Tutor answers, flowcharts, transcripts and generated notes are produced by AI models, including models operated by the providers named in the Privacy Policy. AI models can make mistakes, so please check important information — such as drug doses and guideline recommendations — against your textbooks and guidelines. Use these answers for study and exam preparation, and not to manage real patients.

You may use the answers you receive for your own study. To keep the Service running well for everyone, requests are subject to the usage limits of your plan.

Academic integrity. You are responsible for following your university’s and examining body’s rules. Do not use the Service in any examination, assessment or assignment where its use is not permitted.

077. Your content

“Your Content” means anything you put into the Service: your questions and messages, photos and files you attach, recordings you upload, and the notes and other material created from them for you.

  • You keep ownership of Your Content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process and transmit it only as needed to operate, secure and provide the Service to you — including sending it to the service providers named in the Privacy Policy so a feature can work. This licence ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for copies we must keep for a limited time for legal reasons or that remain briefly in backups.
  • We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it to train AI models.
  • You promise that you own Your Content or have every permission needed to upload it and to let us process it as described, and that it does not break any law or anyone else's rights.
  • Recordings. Before you record or upload a lecture, talk or conversation, you are responsible for having the permission of the lecturer or the people speaking, and for following your university’s rules and the law on recording. Transcripts and notes made from a recording are for your own private study; do not publish or distribute them without the rights holder’s permission.
  • No patient information. Never upload or type anything that could identify a patient — names, faces, record numbers, dates of birth, or images or scans that carry identifying details. Remove every identifier before you use any clinical material for study.
  • We do not routinely monitor Your Content, but we may review, restrict or remove any content that we believe breaks these Terms or the law, or when we are legally required to.

088. Acceptable use

You agree not to, and not to help or allow anyone else to:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful;
  • present anything from the Service as medical advice or clinical guidance to a patient or to anyone else;
  • share, sell, rent or transfer your account or your plan, or give anyone else access to paid features;
  • copy, download in bulk, scrape, crawl or harvest the Service's content, question banks, catalogues or data, whether by automated means or by hand at scale;
  • copy, modify, decompile or reverse-engineer the Service, or try to extract its source code, models, prompts or system instructions, except where the law expressly allows it;
  • get around plan limits, usage meters, payment checks, security or any other access control, or exploit a bug instead of reporting it to us;
  • access the Service by any means other than our own interfaces, including bots and scripts;
  • overload, disrupt or attack the Service, introduce malware, or probe or test its security without our written permission;
  • impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity, your stage of study or your affiliation;
  • upload or share anything that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing or threatening, or that infringes anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
  • upload other people's personal information without the right to do so, or any patient-identifiable information at all;
  • use the Service or its output to build a competing product or to train an AI model;
  • remove or alter any copyright, trade mark or other notice in the Service;
  • submit a false, altered or reused payment receipt, or otherwise misrepresent a payment.

If you break this section we may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close your account (section 17).

099. Study rooms, reporting and blocking

Live study rooms are part of the MESOMIND app. What may not be posted. Anywhere another person can see it — a study room’s video, audio or chat, a shared screen, a display name — the following are not allowed: sexual content; content that sexualises a minor in any way; threats, harassment, bullying or intimidation; hate speech or attacks on a person or group for who they are; graphic violence; content promoting self-harm; anything unlawful; identifiable patient information; and anyone else’s copyrighted material used without permission. This applies whether or not the room is private.

A study room is a live conversation between the students in it. What anyone says or shows in one is theirs, not ours, and we do not monitor rooms as they happen.

You can report anyone in a call. Open the people list, tap the menu beside their name, and choose Report. Tell us what is wrong; the room code and the time are attached for you. Reports are read by a person.

You can block anyone in a call. The same menu has Block. A blocked person’s video, audio and messages stop reaching you, in that call and in every future one, until you unblock them. Blocking is yours alone — it is not announced to them, and it does not remove them from the room. Only the host can do that.

Every report is reviewed by a person. Where these Terms have been broken we may warn the account, suspend it or close it permanently, remove content, and refuse the person access to study rooms. Serious matters — threats, or material involving a child — are reported to the appropriate authorities. You will not always be told the outcome, because what happens to someone else’s account is private to them. You can also write to support@mesomind.online with the room code and what happened, and you should use that route if you cannot get into the app.

1010. Videos, textbooks and other people’s content

Videos

The videos in the Service are hosted by YouTube and belong to their creators. They are played through YouTube’s embedded player, so YouTube’s Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy apply to that playback. We do not own, control or endorse those videos, their inclusion does not mean their creators endorse MESOMIND, and they may become unavailable at any time. Notes generated from a video are a personal study aid for your own private use; do not republish them. A creator or rights holder who wants a video removed from our catalogue can write to support@mesomind.online.

Textbooks, guidelines and institutions

Textbooks, guidelines, journals and other published works that the Service refers to or quotes remain the property of their authors and publishers. MESOMIND is independent: it is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any publisher, author, university, college, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, or any examining body. Their names are used only to identify sources.

Reference pictures

Reference pictures such as ECG strips, X-rays, CT and MRI images come from open medical image libraries and remain the property of their original sources, under those sources’ licences. They are shown for learning.

The Question Bank

Questions are compiled and written for revision practice. Unless clearly stated otherwise, they are not official examination questions.

Links

The Service may link to websites and services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

1111. Our intellectual property

The Service — its software, design, artwork and 3D renders, the MESOMIND name and logo, and its own text, lectures, explanations, question compilations and other content — is owned by MESOMIND or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other laws. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Service for your own non-commercial study, as long as you follow these Terms. Every right not expressly given to you is reserved. You may not use our name, logo or branding without our written permission.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely and without any obligation to you.

1212. Copyright complaints

We respect intellectual property and respond to clear notices of alleged infringement. If you believe material in the Service infringes your copyright, write to support@mesomind.online with:

  • the work you say is infringed, and evidence that you own it or are authorised to act for the owner;
  • where the material appears in the Service, precisely enough for us to find it;
  • your name and contact details;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, and that the information in your notice is accurate.

We review every notice, and we remove or disable access to material where that is appropriate while the complaint is assessed. We may tell the person who provided the material and give them a chance to respond. We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe.

1313. Plans, prices and payment

You can use the Service free of charge within the free plan’s allowance shown in it (for example, a small number of AI Tutor messages and notes). That allowance may change. Paid plans are sold only on the website; the MESOMIND Android app is free and does not sell anything.

  • The Monthly plan gives 30 days of Premium access, starting when your payment is approved — not when you make the transfer. The price is shown in Iraqi dinars (IQD) on the upgrade page at the time you pay. An introductory or “limited offer” price may end at any time, and a change of price never affects time you have already paid for.
  • How you pay. You transfer the exact amount shown to the account shown on the upgrade page, then upload a clear screenshot or receipt of the transfer. Only use the payment details shown inside the Service. We will never ask you to pay anyone else, or to pay by message or by phone.
  • Every payment is checked by a person. We may decline a payment we cannot match or verify. You are responsible for sending the correct amount to the correct account and for any fees your bank or transfer service charges.
  • Nothing renews automatically. When your 30 days end, your account returns to the free plan unless you pay again. A payment made before your plan ends adds 30 days to the time you have left.
  • Fair use. Features described as “unlimited” are unlimited for normal individual study. To protect the Service for everyone, every plan has per-minute and daily limits on AI requests, pictures, notes, dictation and exports, set well above what one student studying normally needs. We may change these limits, and may restrict an account whose use suggests automation, sharing or resale.
  • A plan is personal to your account. It cannot be transferred, shared or exchanged for cash.
  • A false, altered or reused receipt is fraud. We will decline it, may close the account, and may report it to the authorities.

1414. Refunds

Premium gives immediate access to digital services, so a payment is not refundable once your plan has been activated, except as set out here or where the law requires otherwise. You are entitled to a refund if:

  • we decline your payment or cannot activate your plan — the full amount;
  • you paid twice for the same period by mistake — the duplicate payment;
  • you paid more than the price shown — the difference.

If you prefer, we can add the equivalent time to your plan instead. If Premium is unavailable for a prolonged period because of a fault on our side, we will extend your plan or refund part of your payment, at our choice. We do not give refunds for a change of mind after activation, for unused days, for the usage limits described in the Service, or when an account is suspended or closed for breaking these Terms.

To ask for a refund, write to support@mesomind.online within 14 days of your payment with the transfer details. Approved refunds are returned to the account the payment came from where that is possible, within a reasonable time; fees charged by banks or transfer services cannot be refunded by us.

1515. Availability

We work hard to keep MESOMIND available and running smoothly. From time to time it may be paused for maintenance, or affected by events outside our control such as internet, power or service-provider outages.

1616. Changes to the Service

We may change, suspend or discontinue any feature, content, catalogue or limit at any time. If we stop offering Premium altogether while you still have paid time left, we will refund the unused part of your payment.

1717. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Profile or from the account deletion page. We may suspend or close your account, with or without notice, if you break these Terms, if your use creates a risk or legal exposure for us or for others, if we suspect fraud, or if the law requires it. If we close your account because you broke these Terms, no refund is due. If we close it for any other reason while you have paid time left, we will refund the unused part. Sections that by their nature should continue after your account ends — including 6, 7, 11, 14, 18, 19 and 20 — continue to apply.

1818. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, MESOMIND, its owners, team, partners and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss or damage; for any loss of data, profits, opportunity or goodwill; for any examination result or academic outcome; or for any use of the Service in the care of a real patient — arising out of or in connection with the Service, its AI-generated answers, third-party content, or anyone’s unauthorised access to your account.

Our total liability to you for all claims connected with the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the three months before the event that gave rise to the claim, and (b) 25,000 Iraqi dinars. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, such as liability for fraud.

1919. Indemnity

You agree to compensate and hold harmless MESOMIND, its owners, team and service providers against any claim, loss, liability, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your breach of these Terms, your breach of any law or of anyone else’s rights, or your use of the Service or its answers — including any use of them in connection with a real patient.

2020. Governing law and disputes

If you have a complaint, please write to support@mesomind.online first; most problems can be settled quickly, and we will try in good faith to resolve yours within 30 days. These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising from them or from the Service, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq. The courts of Baghdad have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek urgent relief to protect our rights in any competent court. Where the law allows, any claim must be brought within one year of the date it arose. If you live elsewhere, nothing in this section takes away any protection that the mandatory consumer law of your country gives you.

2121. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date and version at the top and ask you to review and accept the new version before you continue using the Service. Minor changes — corrections, clarifications — take effect when they are published. If you do not accept a change, you must stop using the Service; if a material change reduces your rights while you have paid Premium time left, you may ask for a refund of the unused time instead.

2222. General

  • These Terms, the Privacy Policy and any terms shown to you at the point of purchase are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
  • If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force, and that part is applied as far as the law allows.
  • If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
  • You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a reorganisation, merger or sale of the Service, and your rights will not be reduced as a result.
  • We are not responsible for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as power or internet outages, failures of third-party providers, government action, natural disasters, war or civil unrest.
  • Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, employment or agency relationship between you and us.
  • These Terms are written in English. If they are translated, the English version prevails.
  • We may send you notices by email to the address on your account or within the Service.

2323. Contact and ownership

MESOMIND is published by MESOMIND, which owns the Service and the copyright in it. Where an app is submitted to a store by a service provider on MESOMIND’s behalf, that provider acts only as publisher of record for the submission; MESOMIND remains responsible for the app, its content and its handling of your data. For any question about these Terms, write to support@mesomind.online.
